Mortal Kombat X Character Roster Expands With Jason Voorhees From 'Friday The 13th' [REVEAL TRAILER]

'Mortal Kombat X' Celebrates Friday The 13th By Adding Jason, The Star Of The Friday The 13th Movies!

Happy Friday the 13th everybody. In the spirit of this (actually fairly common) date, the team over at Netherrealm have teased us the next member in the ever-expanding roster of Mortal Kombat X fighters: the one and only, Jason Voorhees.

Say Hello To The Whole Cage Family In Mortal Kombat X

Yes, that's right, the legendary slasher antagonist - the star of dozens of Friday the 13th films - will take to the ring as part of the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack, which in addition to Voorhees includes access to three other characters, two from classic Mortal Kombat characters and a "special guest" to be named later.

We hope it's Freddy Kruger from the Nightmare on Elm Street series. After all, the be-striped, razor clawed dream demon did make an appearance in Mortal Kombat 9 some years back.

Happy Xursday! Where Is The Enigmatic Merchant In Destiny This Week?

In fact, let's bring in the whole roster of 80s villains. Jason, Freddy, Michael Myers, the Leprechaun; throw Christine the killer car in there, and how about The Thing? It could take the form of any other opponent in the game.

In the Americas, the Kombat Pack is included in the Mortal Kombat X Kollector's Edition by Coarse, Limited Edition and Premium Edition, and will be available for purchase separately for $29.99. Check out our guide to all of the limited editions that will be launching with the game on April 14.

"Fans who purchase the Kombat Pack will receive the Samurai Pack containing three new character skins: Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok and Jingu Kitana, as well as an accompanying skin pack with each playable character. Kombat Pack owners will gain early access to the following future DLC content before it is available for sale individually."
