Like sands through the hourglass, so are the video game adaptations of Warhammer. We're saying that there as many of them as there are grains of sand, and we can add one more to the growing pile of current and upcoming titles, Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch: Tyranid Invasion.

Endless Warhammer, Part One: All The Current Titles Available

The turn-based strategy title comes to us by way of Rodeo Games, creators of the wonderful Warhammer Quest game for iOS and PC. The company has looked to the stars for their follow-up, bringing us a new adventure starring one of the Imperium's most secret space marine chapters, Deathwatch. Players will command 40 of the elite marines through 40 levels, customize each with over 200 available weapons and - this one's exciting - engage in some asynchronous multiplayer action with your friends!

All while taking on the vicious Tyranids, an extragalactic race so terrible that it's literally the basis for their name. They were Zerg rushing before Zerg rushing was cool.

Endless Warhammer, Part Two: Guide To Upcoming Titles - We'll Add The New One

"When we were discussing which project to work on next, the Deathwatch stood out as the part of the Warhammer 40,000 universe we were most excited about," said Laurent Maguire, Studio Head at Rodeo Games. "Only in the Deathwatch can you bring together the greatest Space Marines from multiple Chapters, and form the ultimate fighting force. Tyranid Invasion gives players their first opportunity to command this legendary force." "Expectations are high for our next title, this represents a big step forward for the studio."

"Our first Deathwatch game is bigger in every way than our previous titles and we're hoping that the high production quality combined with the new Unreal 4 engine will establish a new quality bar on the platform."

Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch: Tyranid Invasion will hit iOS this summer. Check out the very dramatic trailer below.
