Warframe PC Update: Sanctuary Has Arrived And With It, A New Character And Missions [VIDEO]

Find 'Sanctuary' In The Latest Update For Warframe On PC

Hot on the heels of their PS4 update, Digital Extremes has just unloaded a major new content patch for Warframe on the PC.

Some Payday 2 And Speedrunners Crossover DLC To Celebrate Spring Break

Titled Sanctuary, the new update gives fatigued Tenno a place to recuperate and rest - just kidding. There is no rest for the weary, or the wicked, and you are both. It does however bring along a wealth of new content, including a brand new frame that can adapt to any situation, weapons, missions and a new PvP mode.

Teased during PAX East earlier this month, players can now purchase Chroma, a dragon-themed Warframe with some unique abilities. A master of the elements, Chroma can adapt himself to fit the role of your team. With his specialized auras - poison, ice, fire - he can acquit himself with various buffs to nearby members, or lead the charge with his Vex Armor ability that makes him grow stronger with every hit.

Players can also engage in a new quest, The New Strange in which they must hunt down a mysterious force with the help of Cephalon Simaris (that weird disembodied voice) to understand its true meaning. Or they undertake a new mission, The Law of Retribution, which supports the patch's new 8 player team up mode. Find a squad and hunt down and eliminate Grineer Councilor Vay Hek and earn some Arcane enhancements for your troubles.

As part of the new PvP 2.0, which emphasizes stealth (at least on Stealth based missions), players can engage in the new Cephalon Capture, or "try their hands at three new maps, conquer a variety of challenges. Teshin, your new PvP guide, and the Conclave Syndicate have established their presence in the Relay. Syndicate rewards await for Tenno who compete in the Conclave, studying under Teshin's Sigil."

Two new weapons are available: Kohmak, the intimidating handcannon and the Ripkas, best described as 'chainsaw fists'. You had me at 'chainsaw fists'.

Read up on the full list of changes arriving on Warframe. Console players will receive the patch in a few weeks. Until then, good hunting out there, Tenno. Here's Chroma.
