Until now. As promised and teased at various times, the original crew of the Serenity has been coming in to read their lines and once again bring us back to the Black in what may be the swan song of the beloved sci-fi cult classic series.

Everyone has signed on and almost all have come in for their readings. But let's face it, we love Wash, Kaylee, Jane and all the rest, but the one and only person we all really, really want to see is Captain Mal Reynolds, played by the one and only Nathan Fillion. His is the latest cast video to show up on both YouTube and the Cortex, the pre-game app that was released several months ago.

A new and improved Cortex app is available for PC, Mac and Android. Sadly, iOS support was discontinued for the update.

Quantum Mechanix hasn't released any new footage of the game itself, and while I have great faith in their abilities to give us a stirring adventure set within the same universe, I can't help but think: 'But I just want to see my friends on board the Serenity.'

Check out Captain Reynolds below. Keep flying, folks.
