Destiny Community Site 'The 100' Matches Players' Ages, Time Zones, And More To Help Create Good Fireteams

Destiny Community Site 'The 100' Automatically Matches Guardians In Need Of A Fireteam To Similar Players

Destiny has a lot of fun group activities to offer, but it's not always easy to find a Fireteam to play with. Some of the game's modes will help you via matchmaking, but others leave you on your own to find reliable partners.

Sometimes, that results in players being unable to access certain modes due to a lack of squad mates. Fortunately, community website The 100 is here to help.

Bungie held an interview with the site's founder today, telling fans how this endeavor assists players in finding a consistent, fun, and reliable Fireteam to run missions with. The service provides an automated clan generator, but it's not random mix and matching--any of the other community sites could do that. Instead, you enter some information that will ideally match you to some like-minded people. The 100 creator Mike LaPeter explains:

"We basically provide auto-generated clans for Destiny players. You enter your details like your age, your time zone, whether you're a casual or serious player, etc. We then automatically match you with a group of 100 similar players. What's cool about that is you end up with a group of people to play with and it's easy to find things in common."

"Most members are incredibly understanding about life challenges like kids/spouses/jobs, which are a lot tougher to navigate than any Raid! People also love that they have the ability to schedule games in advance, so you can look forward to that Saturday Raid all week and know that you have a solid Fireteam locked down."

I haven't tried it myself, but it sounds like a solid service. Quick chatroom sites can hook you up with a Fireteam in a pinch, but something a little more customized and reliable sounds appealing. Check it out and make use of the resource if you're in need through the link above, and read the rest of the interview at Bungie's blog.
