'Mortal Kombat X' Brutalities List: A Complete Guide To Every Character's Killer Finishing Combos On PS4 [VIDEO]

Mortal Kombat isn't just about Fatalities- you can kill people in all sorts of ways.

Traditionally in the series the Brutality was the hardest to pull off, since it required an incredibly long combo, most just ending with the opponent exploding rather than being finished in the myriad of entertaining ways that Fatalities provided. Players barely bothered with them- all that work for barely any payoff!

The Brutalities in Mortal Kombat X are quite different, however, as they can kill an opponent outright, and they don't always require a combo. They're tricky to figure out without spending Kombat Koins, but we're here for you!

Here's the full list of Brutalities in the game, listed by character. For ranges- Close should be right on top of them, Mid should be about a sweep length away, and far can be on the other side of the screen. We have listed required variations when applicable, if none is listed you can use it with any one.

Cassie Cage

Between the Eyes – Have at least 50% health left and kill your opponent with Single Shot (Back, Forward, Square) from Mid range

Hat’s Off – Don't lose any rounds and kill your opponent with Kick Abuse (Forward, Down, Square), holding Up before the third hit lands

Pop Goes (Hollywood variation) – Hit your opponent with four Nutcrackers (Back, Down, X), and then get the killing blow with a Nutcracker as well

Beat Down (Brawler variation)– Finish the final round with at least a three hit combo that ends with Take Down (Back, Forward, X)

Half Day (Spec Ops variation)– Hit with American Ways (Down, Back, X) five times and finish the match with Target Paint (Down, Down, Square + R2) from mid range

D'Vorah

Migraine – Have at least 50% of your health left and kill your opponent with Ovipositor Charge (Down, Back, Circle), holding Forward while the move executes

Fly Swatter – Kill the opponent with a four hit combo that ends with Backward Air Throw (Down + Throw, Back)

Incubate (Brood Mother variation) – Land three Krawler attacks (Down, Forward, X), and then kill your opponent with any Throw (X + X)

Bug Zapper (Swarm Queen variation) – Stun your opponent with Bug Bomb (Down, Forward, Square + R2) and then kill your opponent with Infestation (Down, Back, Square + R2)

Acid Burn (Venomous variation) – Connect with all nine hits from Bug Spray (Down, Forward, Square + R2) and kill your opponent with it

Ermac

Nether Force – Connect with ten special attacks during the match, then kill your opponent using Air Force Port (Down, Back, Circle + R2)

We Win – Perform a five hit combo that ends with Force Lift (Down, Back, Square) as the last hit of the match

Gluttony (Mystic variation) - Have at least 40% health remaining and kill your opponent with Tele-Hold (Down, Back, Square + R2)

Soul Eater (Master of Souls variation) – Land a 10 hit combo during the match, have three souls active and perform Soul Ball (Back, Forward, Triangle), killing your opponent with Soul Release (Back, Forward, Square)

Controlled Chaos (Spectral variation) – Enter flight with Soul Accession (Down, Down, Up) and kill your opponent with Soul Charge (Back, Forward, Triangle) with Soul Accession still active

Erron Black

Tunnel Vision – Kill your opponent using a standard throw (Throw button or Square + X), holding Forward during the animation

Serenity – Finish the match with Sand Trap (Down, Back, Forward, Triangle) or Quick Sand (Down, Back, Forward, Triangle + R2) and start jam on Square or Triangle during his tackle animation

Quick Draw (Gunslinger variation) – Perform 10 back dashes during the match, and while using the Stand Off stance (Down, Back, Square) kill your opponent with Spin Shot (Circle) in close range

Sword In the Stone (Outlaw variation) – Kill your opponent with Tarkatan Infection (Down, Right, Triangle) and hit Up, Down, Up during the animation

Swing Low (Marksman variation) – Have two bars of super meter available and get the final with Swing Shot (Down, Back, Triangle)

Ferra Torr

Trample – Run at least three times during the match, then kill your opponent with with Tuck ‘n’ Charge (Back, Forward + X) from mid range, holding Forward during the final hit animation

Play Thing – Perform a two hit combo with Kaber Toss (Forward, Triangle) as the final blow

Stabby Stab (Ruthless variation) – Get buffed from Pain and Gain (Down, Down, Square) and kill your opponent with Grab ‘n’ Stab (Down, Back, Forward, Square + R2)

Twisted (Vicious variation) – Have three Level Interactions during the match, and kill your opponent with Deep Stab (Down, Back, Forward, Square + R2), mashing Square or Triangle during the animation

Steam Roller (Lackey variation) – Using the Lackey variation, you must hit the opponent with three Boulder Rolls (Back, Forward, Triangle) during the match, and the killing blow must come from a Double Boulder Roll (Back, Forward, Triangle + R2)

Step on Down (Lackey variation) – Have under 35% health at the end of the match and kill your opponent with the Step Aside combo (Back, X, Square + Circle)

Goro

Speed Bag – Win the match in two rounds and kill your opponent with either the Shokan Grab (Down, Back, Forward, X) or Shokan Slam (Down, Back, Forward, X + R2), holding Forward during the animation

Krush – Kill your opponent with Krush (Down, Up + R2) while they are blocking

Chest Bump (Kuatan Warrior variation) – Do five dashes (Forward, Forward) during the match, you must have more than 50% health at the end of the match, and the killing blow must come from Chest Lunge (Back, Forward, Triangle) or Chest Charge (Back, Forward, Triangle + R2)

Tail Spin (Dragon Fangs variation) – Kill your opponent with a Dragon Spin (Down, Back, Triangle + R2)

Shokan Flame (Tigrar Furt variation) – Kill your opponent with Dragon Torch (Back, Forward, Triangle + R2) in close range while holding Triangle

Jacqui Briggs

Mind Blown – Kill your opponent with Bionic Blast (Back, Forward, Triangle + R2) while holding Forward

Gun Show – Kill your opponent with Gauntlet Flurry (Back, Forward, Circle + R2) while holding Circle

Shrapnel (Shotgun variation) – Use three Level Interactions during the match, and kill your opponent with Low Blow (Down, Back, Triangle), or Low Blast (Down, Back, Triangle + R2) in close range

Heavy Artillery (Full Auto variation) – Land three Up Rockets (Down, Back, Triangle) during the match, and kill your opponent with a Hand Cannon (Down, Forward, Triangle + R2)

Aftershock (High Tech variation) – Yu must have either Gauntlet Spark (Down, Back, Triangle) or Gauntlet Ignite (Down, Back, Triangle + R2) active and kill your opponent with either Air Ground Smash (Down, Down, Circle) or Air Ground Tremor (Down, Down, Circle + R2)

Jax

Sledge Hammer – Kill your opponent with Downward Dash Punch (Back, Forward, Triangle + Down) or a Downward Dash Fist (Back, Forward, Triangle + R2 + Down) while the opponent is crouching

Gotcha Down – Kill your opponent with Gotcha Grab (Down, Back, Square) and hold Forward during the animation

Rocket Roll – Using the Heavy Weapons variation, You must get the killing blow with L.A.W. Blast (Down, Back, Triangle + R2 + Up) with your opponent in the air

Ground Breaking (Pumped Up variation) – Connect with three Ground Pounds during the match and kill your opponent with Ground Shake (Down, Down, Circle + R2) while holding circle Circle during the animation

Ragdoll (Wrestler variation) – Perform the entire Quad Grapple Chain to kill your opponent (Down, Back, Forward, Square + R2, Triangle, X, Circle, Square + Triangle, + X + Circle)

Johnny Cage

Eye Popping – You have to connect with four Nut Punches (Back, Down, X) during the match, and kill your opponent with either Nut Punch (Back, Down, X) or Nutcracker (Back, Down, X + R2)

Blood Spurt – Kill your opponent with the Take Two Kombo (Y, X, Circle)

Wow Out (Fisticuffs variation) – Kill your opponent with the Speed Bag combo (Back, Square, Triangle, Square) while they are blocking

Fall Guy (Stunt Double variation) – Have Mimic (Down, Back, Circle) active while killing your opponent with Shadow Kick (Back, Forward, Circle), holding Forward during the animation

Bring It On (A-List variation) – Have less than 5% of your health left (Red Shadow will activate) and kill your opponent with Rising Kick (Down, Back, Circle), holding down Circle

Kano

Ballin’ – Kill your opponent with Air Ball (Back, Forward, X, R2) while they are blocking

Terminate – Perform three throws (Throw button or Square + X) during the match and kill your opponent with any throw while holding Up

Just the Tip (Cutthroat variation) – Go five seconds without being hit during the final round and kill the opponent with Bloody Slice (Down, Back, Square + R2)

Glaring Light (Cybernetic variation) – Land a five hit combo that kills your opponent that ends with an Enhanced Upward Laser (Down, Back, X, R2)

Wham Bam (Commando variation) – Kill your opponent with either Power Slam (Down, Forward, Back, Circle) or Power Bomb (Down, Forward, Back, Circle + R2) presing Down, Down, Down during the animation

Pop Off (Commando variation) – Kill your opponent with Choke (Down, Forward, Square) and continue to jam on the Square or Triangle button

Kenshi

Used Up – You must win the first round with a throw (Throw button or Square + X)

Brutal Kick – Go five seconds without getting hit in the final round and kill your opponent with the Concentration kombo (Triangle, Triangle, Circle).

Leg Up (Balanced variation) – Get the first hit of the match, and kill your opponent with Tele-Flurry (Back, Forward, X)

Demon Slice (Possessed variation) – Kill your opponent with Sickle Lift (Down, Back, Square) or Sickle Strike (Down, Back, Square + R2), holding Up during the final hit animation

Instant Karma (Kenjutsu variation)– Connect with five Tele-Pushes (Back, Forward, Triangle) during the match and kill your opponent with Tele-Push (Back, Forward, Triangle) or Tele-Blast (Back, Forward, Triangle + R2) from mid range

Kitana

Off The Top – Kill your opponent with either Throat Slice (Back, Forward, X) or Throat Slash (Back, Forward, X + R2), holding Forward during the final hit animation

Biggest Fan – You have to connect with three Rising Fans (Down, Back, Triangle) during the match and kill your opponent with Rising Blades (Down, Back, Triangle + R2)

Back That Up (Royal Storm variation)– Reflect at least one move during the match with Bounce Back (Down, Back, Circle) and then get the killing blow with an Air Square Boost (Down, Back, X) or Air Square Wave (Down, Back, X + R2) in mid-air

Lost Girl (Assassin variation) – Activate Sharpen (Down, Forward, Circle) and kill your opponent with either Assassin Strike (Down, Back, X) or Assassin Impale (Down, Back, X + R2)

All is On (Mournful variation) – Kill your opponent with Glaive Throw (Down, Forward, Square) by hitting them in the head by holding Up after throwing it

Kotal Kahn

Kotally Awesome – Kill your opponent with Sun Beam (Down, Forward, Circle) or God Ray (Down, Forward, Circle + R2) in close range

Stick Around – You have to connect five times with Sunstones (Down, Forward, Triangle) during the match and kill your opponent with Sunstone (Down, Forward, Triangle) at long range

Offering – Kill your opponent with Blood Offering (Forward, Back, Down, Circle)

Totem This – Using the Blood God variation, you have to summon each Totem at least once (Blood Totem: Down, Back, X) (Obsidian Totem: Down, Back, Triangle) (Crystal Totem: Down, Back, Square), the Crystal Totem must be active during the killing blow, and kill your opponent with Two-Fisted Upperct (Down + Triangle) with 30 seconds or less left on the timer

Sawed Off (War God variation) – Kill your opponent with a three hit combo that ends in Saw Blade (Down, Forward, Triangle)

Dry Rub (Sun God variation) – Get your Sun Power to level three by using three Sun God Chokes (Down, Back, Triangle) or Moon God Chokes (Down, Back, Triangle + R2) and get the final hit kill with a Sun God Choke or Moon God Choke

Kung Jin

A Little Heart – Go seven seconds without taking damage in the final round and kill your opponent with Straight Arrow (Down, Forward, Triangle) from mid range

Round About – You have to perform three Cartwheel Drops (Down, Back, Circle) during the match and kill your opponent with Cartwheel Smash (Down, Back, Circle + R2)

Where’d You Go – Perform three stage interactions and kill your opponent with any Throw

Burnt Out (Bojutsu variation) – Kill your opponent with Bo Flame (Down, Back, Square) while your opponent is in mid-air

Bullseye (Ancestral variation) – Use every quiver-type at least once (Fire Quiver: Down, Down, Square) (Stun Quiver: Down, Back, Square) (Vampiric Quiver: Down, Forward, Square) and then kill your opponent with Air-Down Arrow (Down, Down, Triangle) in close range and in mid-air

Decapitator (Shaolin variation) – Kill your opponent with Chakram Throw (Back, Forward, Square) aiming for their head by pressing Up or shins by pressing Down after it's thrown

Kung Lao

Open Wide – Kill your opponent with a Throw and then repeatedly jam on Square or Triangle during the animation

Klassic Toss –Kill your opponent with Hat Toss (Back, Forward, Triangle), aiming for their head by pressing Up or waist by pressing Down after it's thrown

Spin Cycle (Tempest variation)– Kill your opponent with Cyclone (Down, Back, Square + R2) with less than 40 seconds remaining in the round,

Grind Away (Buzz Saw variation)– Kill your opponent with Upward Buzz Saw (Down, Forward, Triangle + R2) from mid range

Hot Head – You have to use three stage variations during the match and kill your opponent with Air Fireball (Back, Forward, Square) aimed at their head

High Roller – You have to connect with five Ball Rolls (Back, Down, Circle) and and kill your opponent with a Ball Roll, holding Down during the animation

Hands Down (Necromancer variation) – Kill your opponent with Judgement Fist (Down, Back, Square) in close range, holding Down during the animation

Thigh Master – You must have less than 50% health remaining and kill your opponent with Leg Grab (Back, Forward, Circle) or Leg Slam (Back, Forward, Circle + R2)

Boot to Head – You must have at least 50% health left and kill your opponent with Wrap Around (Forward, X)

Garro-That (Covert Ops variation) – Kill your opponent with a 10 hit combo that ends with Garrote Punish (Down, Back, Square + R2)

Time Bomb (Demolitions variation) – Land the first attack of the match and kill your opponent with the Boomer combo (X, Square, Triangle)
