Yesterday, many people never saw the light of day, unless it was the digital version of the sun that washed over Geralt of Rivia's scarred visage.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is here, and it's just as amazing as you've heard. We played the game all day and are utterly amazed at the scope of the world, at how seamlessly it brings you up to speed on The Witcher’s story and gets you involved with Geralt’s quest. The game starts off with a flashback tutorial section before revealing what is going on right now- Geralt is looking for his daughter Ciri and former lover/baby mama Yennefer. He's worried about both and is having nightmares about their fate, and sets off to find them. Along the way he'll do what Witchers do best- earn money for killing monsters, including one early quest that sees you baiting and then combating a massive Royal Griffin.

I played on the Blood and Broken Bones setting, which is the second hardest setting, and soon found out that combat is absolutely no joke on this. It’s very easy to die and this makes each and every combatant a challenge. If you enjoy tough battles, definitely put it on this difficulty setting.

I also ran into a few funny glitches, such as when I randomly died after engaging in a conversation, which you can see right after 1:38:41.

These are the quests completed during this The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt walkthrough, the names of which show off the game's delightful sense of humor (a Prodigy reference!):

A Frying Pan, Spick and Span
On Death’s Bed
Precious Cargo
Twisted Firestarter
The Beast of White Orchard
Kaer Morhen
Contract: Devil By the Well
