2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have today announced a new mode for Evolve called Arena Mode.

Resident Evil 0 HD Remake Confirmed By Capcom

Available as a completely free download for all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, PC), Arena Mode will offer up a brand new experience. The usual teams of four hunters will face off against one monster in best-of-three matches, but now there's no hunting required- this mode will throw you right into battle.

"Arena Mode adds a completely new way to play Evolve by bringing players straight into frenetic, heart-pounding battles," said Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios. "Our goal is to provide players with the most entertaining gameplay experience possible, and Arena Mode provides nonstop combat for those who want nothing but action."

In Arena mode, five fixed arenas are placed on 14 of Evolve's maps for a total of 70 locations. The monsters will start off as Stage 2 right off the bat and the fight will begin immediately, with no snacking on small creatures required. The round will end when either the monster or team of hunters is eliminated, and then the next round will begin in another fixed arena on the same map. The first side to win two rounds will be victorious.

They're showing live gameplay right now at Evolve's Twitch.tv channel, so check it out if you can. The full video reveal for Evolve's arena mode is below.
