Dead or Alive Extreme 3 Formally Announced, Heads to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita

It is confirmed that the newest addition to the Dead or Alive franchise will go straight to Sony's PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, primarily in Japan and throughout the world, but the specific dates is yet to be announced, as reported by a known games review website.

According to the report, the two versions (PS4 and PSP Vita) will carry different names and it has been confirmed that the Vita version will be called Venus.

The Dead or Alive Extreme is a spinoff of the popular Dead or Alive fighting game.

Basically, the DoA Extreme showcases the female characters of the fighting game in an island resort playing beach volleyball, modeling and taking part on mini games.

To add, the game itself deviates from the violent nature of the original fighting game and the female characters were showcased in a very revealing and mouth-watering swim wears.

The Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball made its debut in 2003 and was exclusively released for Xbox. Due to its success, the developers came up with a sequel coined Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, which was released in 2006 and is again exclusive for Microsoft's Xbox 360.

Due to the game's revealing and sexually driven nature, the game received tons of criticisms and controversies along the way. It was given a mature rating which can only be played and sold to adult gamers.

On the other side of the fence, legit game reviewers were impressed on the game's graphics and animation as it received high scores in several publications such as AllGame, Edge, and EGM.

In related news, the Dead or Alive 5: Last Round garnered a fair review from experts due to its excellent gameplay and animation.

A review expert from IGN said that the game will make the gamer tensed most especially on the down to the last read match which will conclude on an erupting and exploding battlefield.
