Telltale Confirms Release Of 'Back To The Future' Special Bundle Game To Commemorate The Game's 30th Year
To commemorate the iconic sci-fi film 'Back to the Future's' 30th year, game producer Telltale announced that they will be releasing a special game bundle for PS4 and Xbox One.
The bundle will include special video interviews with 'Back to the Future' producer Bob Gale and actor Tom Wilson.
The 'Back to the Future' game is currently available for PC, PS3 and mobile devices.
'Back to the Future the Game' was inspired by a film that carries the same title which was released in 1985 starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
Fox played the 17-year-old Marty McFly who was accidentally sent back in time by a time machine DeLorean car built by the eccentric scientist Doc Brown, played by Lloyd.
McFly travelled back in time, from 1985 to 1955.
The movie became a success hit when it hit the theaters and due to its success, the first film was followed by two more sequels which also stars Fox and Lloyd.
On the other hand, actor Tom Wilson, who is featured in the game bundle, played the antagonist Biff Tannen who made the life of McFly's father George a living hell from 1955 to 1985.
However, when Marty went back in time, he helped his father to turn around the table against Biff and when he finally returned in the present time, Biff is no longer the bully supervisor of George but an auto detailer who now works for the older McFly.
The film was deemed iconic and influential due to the futuristic ideas that were thrown in the film such as a hoover skateboard, a self-lacing Nike sneakers, and of course, the flying and time travelling DeLorean.
'Back to the Future' was also previously eyed to be rebooted but creators Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale did not entertained the idea, and vowed to stop any remake of the movie until their very last breath, because of the fear that the remake will tarnish the success of the film.
The 'Back to the Future' game bundle is listed to be released on October 13 at $20 each.
