Game producer Square Enix, the brains behind the massive and legendary games, Final Fantasy series and Hitman, has recently partnered with GameChanger, a charity organization that encourages everyone in the gaming community to help out those who are in need. The partnership between Square Enix and GameChanger will benefit pediatric cancer patients and the only thing to do is give at least a dollar, and in return they will be given Square Enix's the Hitman: Absolution game.
Although the game is not the most impressive in the Hitman series, it is still a game that can be enjoyed. The fact that it is only a dollar and above all, you get the feeling of satisfaction when you help, (in a way), someone who is in need.
On top of the dollar for Hitman: Absolution, the charity event was held during the PAX convention where a Hitman barber shop stand was put in, and for every shaved head that is done in the Hitman barber shop, Square Enix will be donating $47 to Game Changer.
Another thing that was put in during the event is that for the particular person or organization that had put in the most money, that person or organization will be given a choice to either bring home a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One as way of saying thank you. Also, the top 25 donors will be awarded, by Square Enix, Agent 47's iconic red tie and a barcode tattoo.
GameChanger started as a brainchild of Jim Carol and his son Taylor, which went into the similar ordeal when Taylor suffered from cancer at an early age. Taylor was diagnosed with leukemia, and due to his medical condition, there were instances where he needs to be isolated for long durations of time, which developed his love for video games, his only companion during the isolation periods.
In 2008, after Taylor finally defeats cancer, Jim and Taylor founded GameChanger (originally called DonateGames.org) a charity focused on helping children and families suffering from cancer and other diseases, through video games.
