‘Tekken 7’ News, Update & Release Date: Virtual Reality On The Works Plus New Characters and Customization

While it is certain that "Tekken 7" will be released for PS4 and Xbox One soon, fans are excited over its possible virtual reality features that Bandai Namco has been silent about. "Tekken 7" will also feature popular fighters and new characters together with new killer moves that are worth waiting for.

Fans are anticipating that the arrival of "Tekken 7" in the virtual reality scene can be a game changer since an increase of games these days are being converted to the VR format. However, Michael Murray, senior game designer for "Tekken 7" explained that it is not what most fans would expect.

"When we announced that we're going to do something with virtual reality, people were like 'oh, so you're going to be playing in a first person and hitting each other? That sounds like crap!'" Murray said.

The senior game designer also admitted that a first-person virtual reality feature will not work with "Tekken 7" since this will just take away the quality of the game. The main focus of the game though is about the characters and the ability of the players to customize their characters.

Some reports are speculating that "Tekken 7:Fate Retribution" will be incorporated in the new "Tekken 7" together with other features such as "Tekken Bowling. Christian Times cited that fans can also come to the Evolution Championship Series or EVO that will happen on July 15 to 17 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center and Las Vegas Convention Center.

As for "Tekken 7" released date, Bandai Namco is still being secretive although a lot are speculating that the release will happen within the year. The arcade version of the gameplay has already been released in Japan so it is only a matter of time when "Tekken 7" for PS4 and Xbox One will be released soon.
