Several fans have been patiently waiting for the release of the highly-anticipated "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games. Now, new reports have revealed some details about the upcoming "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games such as its first gameplay, its region and the new Pokémon starters.

Three 'Pokémon Sun', 'Pokémon Moon' starters revealed, updates

The developers of the "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games have already unveiled the three starter Pokémons that fans should expect in the upcoming titles. These are Popplio, Litten and Rowlet.

Reports say that "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" players will be able to Popplio, Litten and Rowlet at the very start of the game. Players have to choose which starter Pokemon they should use before kicking off their journey in the "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" worlds.

To give the soon-to-be players of the "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games, here are some details about the much-awaited Pokémon starters:

  • Popplio - is a Sea Lion, which is basically a water type Pokémon. The Popplio Pokémon has stunning abilities such as Water Gun and Torrent.
  • Litten - is a kitten, which is a fire-type Pokémon. The Litten Pokémon has amazing abilities like Ember and Blaze.
  • Rowlet - is a grass-and-flying owl, which falls under the grass quill Pokémon category. The Rowlet Pokémon has superb abilities such as the Overgrow.

Aside from these three starter Pokémons in the upcoming "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games, rumor has it that there are another two creatures that fans should expect in the upcoming titles. A cover art of the "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games featured a bat-type Pokémon and a lion-type Pokémon.

While no other details have been made public about these two Pokémons, several fans have speculated that these creatures will also be seen in the forthcoming "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games. As a matter of fact, Polygon projected that trainers need to capture these legendary Pokémons in their respective games to be able to get them.

'Pokémon Sun', 'Pokémon Moon' new regions, characters, maps unveiled

Besides the three starter Pokémons, the new region of the upcoming "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games were also revealed. According to reports, the new "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" region will be called Alola, which looks like a tropical type region.

Meanwhile, a small portion of the "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" map was also unveiled. Additionally, Kukui, a new interesting character in the upcoming "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games was also introduced.

"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" are set to be released on Nov. 18 in U.S. and Nov. 23 in U.K. for the Nintendo 3DS. The upcoming "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games are, by far, the hugest game releases for the game franchise in 2016.
