The role-playing game "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" will become available on iOS and Android devices later in spring 2016. The spin-off is currently open for pre-registration and will release in English soon.

The game already soft-launched on iOS in Sweden. The title also soft-launched on Android.

Square Enix launched "Brave Exvius" in Japan in October 2015. "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" was developed by A-Lim and features the same gameplay as the mobile RPG title "Brave Frontier." The same touchscreen battle system is also used, which allows players to swipe in various directions to perform special attacks. There are also turn-based battles, magic spells and summons. Yoshitaka Amano, who worked on "Final Fantasy," illustrated the characters in the upcoming game.

In the Touch Arcade forums, "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" includes characters from past "Final Fantasy" titles. The game was described as a simple battle feature with strategy, with easy and interactive battles. Players simply have to tap the screen to attack. They can also combine magic abilities with tactical know-how to overpower enemies in strategic maneuvers. The game showcases high quality CG animations of summons. Characters can also move in fields and dungeons to look for secret paths and items. Characters can also deal with townsfolk to get quests and eventually acquire rare items.

The storyline stated that two young knights summon visions as they go on a journey to go after the shadows. The plot focuses on crystals and the heroes who would save them. There will expectedly be new enemies, bosses and interesting side quests.

Polygon wrote that Square Enix is running a pre-release campaign where a gauge can fill to unlock different items for the game. A gauge will fill up with each pre-registered user. If one million points, or about 33,333 registrations, are reached, the Terra from "Final Fantasy 6" will be unlocked as a summon. There is no official release date for the free-to-play title at the moment. So far, the game has been downloaded over 5 million times in Japan.

A teaser trailer for "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" has been featured. According to the game publisher, the title will be availbe on both iOS and Android in summer 2016. The game is free to download and features in-app purchases. The game works on various versions of the iPhone, Pad and different Android devices.
