NBA 2016 Latest Rumors: Chris Bosh Told To Retire Than Risk Life Playing Ball

Chris Bosh remains in limbo as his NBA career continues to be on hold. His ailment has kept him out of action and a former NBA cager advises him to just call it a career rather than continue to play with regrettable circumstances.

Chris Bosh finds himself in the sidelines yet again following the discovery of blood clots once more. It marks the second time in as many seasons that the All-Star player has been kept out of the playoffs though he remains positive that he will be given clearance to resume playing pro ball.

He did do that this 2015-16 NBA season after getting cleared and was seemingly over the blood clot issue last season. That was until it was found to have incurred the ailment yet again which has raised a lot of questions on his future.

Bosh will of course never stop hoping to get another chance at playing NBA ball once more though a former NBA cager is encouraging him to think again – Bo Kimble.

Kimble was a former star player at Loyola Marymount back in 1991 and was one half of the high-scoring duo back then, the other being Hank Gathers per the Washington Post.

Gathers had a heart-muscle disorder at that time though he decided to keep on playing. It came to a point where he even cut down on beta-blocker medication since these made him sluggish.

Kimble witnessed the death of his partner in 1990. Gathers fell to the floor after an alley-hoop slam and eventually succumbed. Kimble believes that Bosh may want to use that as a consideration for his future plans.

Kimble was aware of Gather’s problem back then and Bosh’s case is no different. The Heat center-forward does have something Gather’s didn’t – a choice to stop and choose life or give it all up for the sake of basketball.

"If Hank had the ability to do it again he wouldn't have paid the ultimate price ... I am sure [Bosh] has children and they are going to need their father around as much as possible," said Kimble via TMZ.

While it is understandable that Bosh loves the game, he may want to take it down a notch for the sake of his family. It will be a hard decision but at least he still has the opportunity to choose the right thing.
