Bill Goldberg Coy On Possible Return Despite Inclusion In WWE 2K17 [POLL, VIDEO]

Bill Goldberg is one of the few remaining wrestling legends that many would want to see in the WWE despite knowing that the former professional football player has had his disagreements with the company.

Goldberg did appear in the WWE scene for al limited time (2003-2004) and everyone knows how he never hummed with WWE CEO Vince McMahon. Despite that conflict, his name has been once again linked to a possible return following his inclusion on “WWE 2K17."

The inclusion of Goldberg does send mixed signals, reaching a point where most feel that he could be the next wrestling icon to hop on board the WWE bandwagon after Sting (Steve Borden). Both wrestling legends have been around dating back to their WCW days and right now, they do share one thing in common with the WWE – they appeared for a limited time.

Sting’s case was of course different. He joined the WWE when he was already in his 50s and was forced to retire due to health risks. When he joined the company, Goldberg cut his tenure short due to conflict and left on his own terms.

But as “Goldberg” mentioned on The Ringer Wrestling podcast, "never say never."

The podcast sheds more light on why “Goldberg” agreed to be included on WWE 2K17, technically something he decided on to "place a smile on his son’s face."

“Does my inclusion in WWE 2K17 mean the next step is to get back in the ring? That's not my intention by any stretch of the imagination. I initially just want to put a smile on my son's face and show him what his daddy used to do, ripping guy's heads off,” Goldberg was quoted of saying in the podcast.

Now at 49, does “Goldberg” feel he can still with the new breed of WWE stars? He provides an interesting answer via WWE.com.

“I’ve got 50 more in me. It just depends on the ability to keep it up to my standards. I love everybody to death and I greatly appreciate their opinions, but none of it matters except for mine, because I hold myself to such high standards.”
