'Rocket League' June DLC Update: New Upgrades And Customized Rides Coming

“Rocket League” gamers are in for quite a treat this June with the planned release of the June DLC update. The update will include two new styles of items with own special properties which include the ability to apply new colors to existing items.

This new feature for “Rocket League” will initially be made available for selected wheels and toppers where a “painted” version of an item will see random colors assigned like titanium white or burnt sienna.

Aside from the “Paint” feature, also in store for gamers are the new items. That includes certified items which comes with specific stats that can be upgraded over time. An example comes in the form of the “Sniper Wizard Hat” which tracks the number of long goals scored when equipped.

Once a player is able to achieve a certain milestone, the item garners improvement, becoming a “Skillful Sniper Wizard Hat," an “Incredible Sniper Wizard Hat” and so on. As noticed, the prefixes change based on accomplishments and should be something that can get gamers hooked up to this game pretty badly.

While these two new updates for “Rocket League” seems pretty nifty, also up is the addition of “Dying Light”-themed items, a new experimental map, post-game spotlights and new chat commands.

Physical 'Rocket League Collector’s Edition' Goodies

Aside from those it looks like two new vehicles will also be available for “Rocket League” gamers.

According to a blog post, two classic vehicles will be available via the new premium DLC pack and that both will include six decals which are unlocked right away.

"[T]he jet-inspired Aftershock and monstrous Marauder will retain their original thematic style but also sport a new, more modern visual look."

The vehicles will be part of the physical “Rocket League Collector’s Edition” where four new cars will be available. After the exclusivity period, the two vehicles will be released via DLC to all players on July 18 which they can get for $2.

The “Rocket League Collector's Edition” will be out on June 24 in Europe and July 5 in North America. It also comes with three existing DLC packs and a nice-looking art print.
