A fan-made "Star Wars: Battlefront 3" sequel, called "Galaxy in Turmoil," is about to be released soon via Steam. However, as this was created unofficially, Frontwire Studios might face copyright issues from the original "Star Wars" franchise owners.

Legal Rights

The fan-made "Star Wars: Battlefront 3" used a lot of bits and pieces from the original "Star Wars," according to PC Mag. Hence, the legal rights might not be authorized, which may be a big issue for its imminent release.

However, the creator of "Galaxy in Turmoil" explained that it would only be available via Valve's Steam for a free download. This means the game won't be for sale and simply targets the public players.

"By Steam agreeing to ship Galaxy in Turmoil we are not only adding more validation and awareness to the project by opening up the game to a whole new audience," Frontwire Studios president Tony Romanelli said in a blog post. "We're also cementing Frontwire Studios' reputation as an up and coming developer with the opportunity to now publish our games on Steam in the future."

'Galaxy In Turmoil' Via Steam

Frontwire Studios officially announced its distribution deal with Valve's Steam, as per International Business Times.

"After ongoing discussion between Valve Representatives and myself, Valve/Steam has agreed to ship Galaxy in Turmoil to its millions of users," Tony Romanelli added.

Frontwire Studios revealed that its agreement with Valve to host "Galaxy in Turmoil" is a big step for the game developer itself. Also, it will help the game a lot and to be enjoyed by the game aficionados.

An Unofficial 'Star Wars: Battlefront' Sequel

Game Transfer reported "Galaxy in Turmoil" is made to be an unofficial part of the "Star Wars Battlefront" series. The title is inspired of the unpublished "Star Wars Battlefront 3."

To recall, "Star Wars: Battlefront 3" was called off when it was nearly done. Frontwire Studios then took it over and recreated it based on the original game.
