The Companies Behind Borderlands 2's "Bazillioner" Guns: Tediore, Hyperion, Maliwan, and More

A bazillion guns have to come from somewhere, right? Gearbox just gave us some new trailers to let us in on who makes what guns for Pandora.

First up, with some 50's Americana, Tediore, whose weapons will specialize in very quick reload capabilities.

For some more 50's propaganda, but from the other side, Vladof.

The bit about burying enemies under an avalanche of lead? Obviously, Vladof weapons will have a high rate of fire, and probably some pretty extensive magazines. Don't count on them being the most precise though.

And lastly, with almost an Apple spin, Maliwan.

As you can tell from the trailer, Maliwan's emphasis is on elemental effects. Expect a majority of them to feature anything from shock, corrosive, incendiary, or explosive damage.

You can also expect some other weapons manufactureres, some seen in the last Borderlands game, to feature as well, including: Torgue, S&S Munitions, Jakobs, Hyperiod, Dahl, and Atlas.

Alongside new weapons, you'll also see fresh faces in both Borderlands 2 enemies, and selectable characters.

Taking some time to answer fans' questions via twitter, Borderlands 2's producer Matt Charles says, "There are brand new enemy families in Borderlands 2, and the total count of unique enemies (including special elemental variants with unique AI) is in the triple digits. New environments + new enemy types and behaviours = much more varied combat encounters!"

As for the new vault hunters, there's the gunzerker Salvador, siren Maya, the commando Axton, and the sniper ninja Zer0.

The OG vault hunters from the first Borderlands are still on-planet. You'll be able to accept missions from Mordecai, Roland, Lilith, and Brick.

Borerlands 2 is out for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, September 18.
