Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Update: The Top 2 Most Requested Titles Arrived on the Microsoft Feature

If you're quite disappointed by Microsoft's lack of announcement on the Xbox One backwards compatibility titles at the recent E3 2016 event, now's your chance to redeem yourself as the top 2 most requested titles in the feature are now available for download. According to the EXPRESS UK, "Portal 2" and " Left 4 Dead" will be this week's entry to the long list of backwards-compatible games from Microsoft.

Indeed, there weren't much of a highlighted announcement for the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature at the E3; nevertheless, the company made some quick amends in order to fill in the gap that left the backwards-compatible feature hanging. "Portal 2" and "Left 4 Dead" both garnered 40,000 votes from fans while the rest of the list include, "Babel Rising," "Flashback" and "Brain Challenge."

Unfortunately, the expected announcement of "Red Dead Redemption" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" coming to the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature during the E3 event did not happen. Meanwhile, if you look through the Xbox One backwards compatibility website, you'll find that not only the titles mentioned have already arrived in the feature. In fact, "Foul Play," "MONOPOLY PLUS," "Aqua," "SEGA Bass Fishing," "Lazy Raiders" and "Anomaly Warzone Earth" are also included in the backwards-backwards compatible list.

Take note that, in the Major Nelson website, they announced that Microsoft has stopped announcing all upcoming Xbox One backwards compatible games on a regular basis. Instead, they informed the public that they will now start publishing games as soon as they are ready for the feature. Also, in the website's Frequently Asked Questions, an inquiry about why they can't make some of the fans' favorite games in the backwards-compatible games and Major Nelson answered "If you want an Xbox 360 game to be played on Xbox One via backward compatibility, you should contact the game publisher."
