Expendables 2 Cast: Chuck Norris Will Not Return for ‘The Expendables 3’

Action film, "The Expendables 2" from Nu Image and Millennium Films has made $28.6 million in North America as of Aug. 20.

The film that's packed with a who's who of action heroes like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

A third installment of the film is already in the cards and will go into production pretty soon. But the movie, tentatively called "Expendables 3," will be without Norris for reasons unknown.

The 72-year-old action did grab some headlines when he wanted the current film to be culled down to a PG-13 rating.

"Nope. Just number 2. This is it for me...Oh, yeah," Norris told Access Hollywood. "This is very special. Just to be able to do the film with guys I've known for many, many years. To get a chance to get in and fight with them, it was a lot of fun. Plus getting a chance to meet Terry Crews, who I hadn't met before. And Jason Statham, whom I hadn't met before. It was fun just to do that."

It's been reported that Stallone is in talks with Hollywood biggies like Clint Eastwood, Harison Ford, Nicholas Cage, and Wesley Snipes.

"We've approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we've got a character in mind for him," producer of "The Expendables 2" Avi Lerner told Total Film. "We're talking to Harrison Ford. [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I'll give you one more name, we've got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters]."
