Verizon Hints iPhone 5 Release Date by Vacation Blackout

The date of Apple's next iPhone's release is hinted by Verizon. Verizon wireless set a vacation blackout from Sept. 21 to Sept.30, according TechCrunch. It has been rumored that Apple will announce its latest iPhone 5 on Sept.12 and it is also said that pre-orders will be open very soon after that. Why does Verizon have to set a vacation blackout? The release of iPhone last couple years give them the indication that they will want all hands on deck. The release of iPhone 5 will sure to bring a lot of buzz, and many Apple fans want to be the first to get their new handset.

Apple hasn't come out and said anything about the release date of iPhone 5 or even the existence of such a device. In fact, we even don't know the exact name of the next iPhone. It also might be called the iPhone XRPQ. However, Apple usually launches a new iPhone every year and the last iPhone was released in October of 2011, it makes sense that we may see a new iPhone release this fall.

"If we travel back a bit and examine the historical timeline from Apple's announcement, to pre-order, to launch, the dates all seem to match up," writes Jordan Crook of TechCrunch. "Last year Apple announced the iPhone 4S on a Tuesday, October 4th. The phone went up for pre-order on that Friday, Oct. 7, and was available in stores on Friday, October 14, a week later."

What the iPhone 5 might look like? Apple's isn't talking about the new iPhone, but some report said that it'll have a 4-inch screen, which lager than previous 3.5-inch screen. It may also support 4G LTE networks for faster data speeds, and it has a smaller dock connecter with 19 pins, which may cause some accessory headaches. It may also have a new headphone jack.
