Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR M 4G Release Date Sept. 5: New Photos Leaked (See Them)

Motorola announced a launch event on Sept. 5 in New York to unveil its new handheld, RAZR HD and Droid RAZR M 4G LTE, but someone beat them to the punch, the secret is out!

Engadget got access to photos and specifications of Motorola's Verizon-bound Droid RAZR M 4G LTE. The images were leaked to the website.

This new handheld is far superior to anything that Motorola has rolled out before. The device will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will feature, dual-core Snapdragon S4 (MSM8960) processor, 1GB of RAM, a standard 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and ability to take 1080p video, a 3 megapixel front facing camera with 720p video, 4.3 inch qHD (960 x 540) Super AMOLED Advanced display.

SlashGear reports that the handheld has 8GB built-in storage, microSD card port; it will also have Gorilla Glass 2 to protect it from scratches.

The handheld has similarities with Motorola's earlier device, Motorola Photon Q looks like DROID RAZR. The similarities include the display, panel, and virtual Android navigation buttons at bottom of the screen, reported The Verge.

Some months earlier DROID RAZER HD's photos were leaked and it had a different Kevlar backplate, screen with higher-resolution (1196 x 720).

The coming week is going to be interesting with launches of Nokia on the Sept. 5 and Amazon launching on Sept. 6.
