Lego Movie 'The Piece of Resistance' to Feature Morgan Freeman and Elizabeth Banks

LEGO: The Piece of Resistance, a Warner Bros. is a movie that will be a cross between live action and animation.

Collider reports that directors of the film Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be adding two new members to their voice cast, Elizabeth Banks and Morgan Freeman.

Actor Chris Pratt of "Parks and Recreation" will be the voice of the lead character, Emmet, an "instruction worker" who's mistaken for a Master Builder. Emmet undertakes a journey to save the universe from an evil tyrant from who tries to freeze the world.

Variety's Jeff Sneider tweeted "In LEGO movie, LIZZIE BANKS will play Pratt's bad-ass ex-g/f, while M.FREEMAN will play a blind sage described as Gandalf meets Mr. Magoo."

Will Arnett of "Arrested Development" will lend his voice for Lego Batman, while Channing Tatum of "Magic Mike" fame will be the voice of Lego Superman. Recent reports from Collider imply that Tatum might not be able join the project because he's busy shooting "21 Jump Street 2."

Sneider tweeted: "Hearing CHANNING TATUM has passed on voice-role of SUPERMAN in the LEGO movie, though no confirmation of that just yet..."

Lego is a popular toy line related to construction. It consists of colorful interconnecting plastic bricks with an array of gears, minifigures and other parts. The company has been in existence since 1949. It also has video game franchise, theme parks, children's clothes, board games, magazines, and TV shows.
