'Scary Movie 5' Enters Production; Release Date set for April 2013

The production for the fourth of the "Scary Movie" series has started. The movie is being shot in Atlanta reported Moviehole.

The cast for "Scary Movie 5" has been announced. Ashley Tisdale ("High School Musical"), Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, Terry Crews, Marisa Saks, and Erica Ash will star in the movie.

Simon Rex, who played George Logan in "Scary Movie 3" and "Scary Movie 4" is back. Malcolm D. Lee ("Undercover Brother", "Soul Men") will be directing the fifth instalment of the franchise.

The movie will also feature Molly Shannon ("Saturday Night Live") and comedian Roland 'Lil Duval' Powell reported Blackfilm. Kevin Hart will not be featured in the movie.

Anna Faris who had played the role of Cindy Campbell in the previous "Scary Movie" instalments will not be a part of the fifth edition as she recently gave birth to her first child. Craig Bierko, who was also part of the previous movies, is replaced by Rex, who might play the part of "oversexed director."

"The plot involves Three dancers - one veteran performer and two upstarts who are also best friends - vie for the lead in a new production from a snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed director," according to Blackfilm.

Sheen and Lohan will play "the world's hottest new couple." They get killed in the movie's opening sequence.

The movie will parody "Paranormal Activity", "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", "Black Swan", "127 Hours", and "Child's Play". The film has been popular with moviegoers and the previous instalments have made over $800 million worldwide.

The movie is expected to be released to big screen on April 19, 2013.
