With news of "Kick-Ass 2" casting Jim Carrey for the role of Colonel confirmed this week, director Jeff Wadlow took to Twitter to spread more news and provide fans with a glimpse of one of the biggest characters.

Wadlow released the first images of the villain Red Mist's Russian bodyguard, Mother Russia, reported Screen Rant. The image of the new Mother Russia has the caption "Chris just met Mother Russia!" The picture shows a Mother Russia meeting Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who is seated. He will play the role of Red Mist in the movie.

Though we're unable to know who exactly the actor is, the photo shows she's an imposing figure that will suit the character of Mother Russia. Mother Russia is the bodyguard of Red Mist, who protects him and kills when Red Mist orders.

Mark Millar, the creator of "Kick-Ass," previously said that the fight sequence between Hit-Girl and Mother Russia will be "memorable moments" in the film reported Screen Rant.

John Leguizamo was confirmed to play the role of Javier, also a bodyguard to Red Mist. The cast of the movie is bigger than its predecessor, "Kick-Ass," especially with actors like Carrey and Nicolas Cage on board.

Check out Mother Earth's sword with "God Giveth, and God Taketh Away" etched on it and Hit-Girl's Ducati. Here are a few more photos Wadlow released on his Twitter account.

"Kick-Ass 2" will hit theatres on June 28, 2013.
