'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date, News & Update: Rockstar Games Has No Plans For A Sequel? Xbox One Backward Compatibility Success Have Fans Expecting For Part 2 Release

With the absence of "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 in Los Angeles and with Rockstar being so mum about giving any details to consumers about the much awaited sequel for the 2010 hit video game, does Red Dead Redemption has any chance of a season 2?

The silence of Rockstar games about 'Red Dead Redemption 2'

As reported by Tech Times, Rockstar has given no hints, no confirmation and no official information that they are working on anything that is relevant or analogous to "Red Dead Redemption 2." For months now leaks and rumors has spread the internet with speculations that Rockstar Games is hiding something from the public that is somehow linked to "Red Dead Redemption 2."

We have even reported here in GamenGuide of a new bigger map that is supposed to be for "Red Dead Redemption 2." Another reason why Rockstar Games might have no intentions yet as of the moment is the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise.

With "Grand Theft Auto 5" still on full swing and banking with how much of a hit the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise is, we can't blame Rockstar Games for putting "Grand Theft Auto 5" as its top priority over "Red Dead Redemption 2." Also, the new "Grand Theft Auto 5" Redux mod is rumored to be richer and more beautiful in the overall graphics department since the start of "Grand Theft Auto 5" as stated by VG24/7.

Xbox One Backward Compatibility a great indication of demand

Recently, "Red Dead Redemption" and "Red Dead Redemption: Game of The Year" was announced to be playable with the Xbox One with backwards compatibility and it went from a sleeper to an in demand game real quick. "Red Dead Redemption" was previously ranked at 1093 but after the announcement, it jumped up to the 17th spot which is a big leap, garnering up to 6329% in sales increase.

"Red Dead Redemption: Game of The Year" also had a great week grabbing the 36th spot by previously being ranked at the 712th spot. That is also a big 1877% increase.

Now with this testament that "Red Dead Redemption" is still a big deal and still very much enticing, gaming fans are still hoping that Rockstar Games will still continue with "Red Dead Redemption 2." After all, "Red Dead Redemption" is still a huge hit.
