‘Halo 5’ Latest News & Updates: 343 Industries Promises More Updates Soon

“Halo 5” usual practice of releasing monthly expansions came to an end last July but it looks like Microsoft still has more to come. The only difference right now seems to be the frequency of the releases as explained by 343 Industries.

The game developer mentioned that their team is hard at work at the new updates which could be popping up in the near future. Though there is no definitive date, there is more Halo 5 updates in the works.

"Things we have yet to talk about or discuss. Things that I have seen, and I think you will like. These and more are in the works, so in short, there is indeed more to come. Rest easy," 343 Industries was quoted of saying via Hallowaypoint.

Ninth expansion release in the air

For the “Halo 5” gamers out there, many are likely aware that there are already eight free “Halo 5” expansions released. The last release was “Warzone Firefight” which came out last June, the biggest and most substantial free update thus far. The update included the “Warzone Firefight” mode, new maps and more.

Notable as well are the fixes brought by the “Warzone Firefight” expansion. That included address the “back button” scoreboard and post game carnage report problems. But there are more bug that need to be addressed such as the Tidal lighting which 343 says they are working on at the moment.

As far as the upcoming content is concerned, there was no mention on when they could be out. The only assurance that they gave is that work is well underway according to Game Spot.

Free Forge Tools update

In the same post, it was also confirmed that the free Forge tools for Windows 10 will not require Xbox Live Gold. Details on the “Halo 5” content browser for the Xbox One and the PC were also touched on.

"Like Forge itself, it’s been built from scratch to ensure that it is the most powerful it has ever been," 343 said.
