Resident Evil 6 Leather Jacket Now Available in the UK

Capcom today announced that it will be opening the doors to the Capcom Store, its European e-store, in the coming months. But ahead of the pop-up e-store, Capcom also announced that three separate versions of Resident Evil 6 are now available in the UK, including one of the most expensive pre-orders of all time, the "Leather Jacket" Edition.

Previously only available in Japan, the package includes the leather jacket worn by Leon Kennedy. A must have for any cosplayer, the jacket edition does come at quite the cost.

Price? Adjusted for USD, a wallet busting $1430 (approximately). While they won't be anything that's sported by a fictitious zombie splatterer, you can usually find a good leather jacket for a few hundred dollars. Throw is a standard copy of the game, and you'll end up saving yourself a grand, so it's up to you if this is really worth it.

Capcom describes the jacket as follows:

"Leon's replica leather jacket from Resident Evil 6 is made of high quality cowhide leather. The jacket is an authentic recreation from the game and is fully endorsed by the Capcom Resident Evil 6 Development team. It's designed to be close-fitting and it has DSO logo and Leon's name tag inside. The jacket not only looks good, but also is practical as it has 6 pockets outside and 2 inside. It is available in Medium and Large (*Please check the size guide). Only 10 pieces are available in Europe."

This edition also comes with a copy of Resident Evil 6, four tablet cases, 3 DLC maps for the Mercenaries game mode stages, and some stickers.

By comparison, this makes Steel Batallion for the first XBox that came with a massive controller with close to 40 buttons, priced at $200, look like a steal.

No word on whether Capcom will have the overpriced edition be available in the US or not. Resident Evil 6 will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 across Europe and North America October 2. A demo is available for download now.
