'Tom Clancy's The Division' Latest News & Update: 'Underground' DLC Receives Mixed Reviews

In an attempt to revive what some may call a failed attempt at an RP game, Ubisoft recently released the "Underground" DLC for "Tom Clancy's The Division," to mixed reviews.

The game was first released in March, to mediocre to favorable reviews. Back in April, a new update called "Incursions" was released, featuring new gadgets and a new region called Falcon Lost for players to discover. In May, Ubisoft released "Conflict," which introduced a new Dark Zone feature and an attack against New York's Columbus Circle.

Just last month, Ubisoft released "Underground," a DLC that enables players to explore the tunnels and subways beneath Manhattan. Unfortunately, the DLC has received mixed reviews from critics who say that it wasn't really worth the hype. In fact, IGN's Vince Ingenito feels that there aren't enough challenges in "Underground," because it does not have new enemies or special objectives.

Gamers will just have to clear our rooms and deal with "environmental hazards" that turn into "momentary interruptions rather than interesting challenges to face." Ingenito writes that "Underground’s inability to make it feel new or fresh is its central problem."

Over at Gamespot, "Tom Clancy's The Division: Underground" expansion gets a 7/10, which is a "good," on their part. Scott Butterworth writes that the only thing that bothered him with the DLC is that vendor items require Phoenix Credits, so players should watch out for a little disappointment in that department.

Forbes' Paul Tassi also criticizes "Underground's" gameplay for single players, saying that there are no second chances given to those who lose their lives along the way. Players have to be extra cautious lest they want to be sent back to base. Single players also do not gain experience for all the enemies they've eliminated, which is a total waste of time and energy.
