Marvel studios, wanting to cash-in on the "Avengers" wave, has already begun production of "Iron Man 3." "Thor: The Dark World" is getting ready to move into production, and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" was expected to go into production, Screen Rant said.
But that won't be happening. The information was revealed to Collider by none other than Chris Evans, the star of Captain America, said that filming of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will start in March 2013.
Evans revealed the information at a news conference during the Toronto International Film Festival.
Screen Rant speculated that perhaps the gap given for filming between "Thor: The Dark World" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will be filled up by "Ant-Man."
This follows a report from the Latino Review which said that Edgar Wright, the director for "Ant-Man," might start shooting after "Thor 2" finishes shooting. But the cast or the release date for "Ant-Man" has not been revealed by the studio, though it was one of the movies that was presented during the Marvel Studios Comic-Con panel.
The cast will include Evans as Steve Rogers, Sebastian Stan as Bucky/Winter Soldier, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon.
The Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe will be directing the movie. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will be scripting it.
The movie is expected to hit theatres April 2, 2014.
