Comparison pictures of pre-production iPhone 5 cases and a pre-production iPad mini case were posted on the MacRumors courtesy of reader Michael Rou.
The designs are all based on the specs that were leaked by Foxconn factories, MacRumors reported. Case manufacturers created the cases in anticipation of the new models.
The pictures compare the size differences of the devices. A third generation iPad is compared with an iPad Mini that is rumored to have a 7.85-inch screen with smaller bezel. The aspect ratio and resolution are the same as iPad 2. As Rou mentions, it is also to be noted that the headphone jack is placed at the top of the casing.
Then there is also the rumored iPhone 5 casing. The new iPhone 5 is expected to have a 4-inch screen; and it is anticipated that the new iPhone 5 will be taller and thinner than the present iPhone 4S. The comparative photo also features iPhone 4S.
While it is largely anticipated that the next generation iPhone 5 will be unveiled at the media event Sept. 12, the iPad Mini might be released at a later date.
The new iPad Mini might have Retina Display with IGZO display, better battery life, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE connectivity.
