Apple Conference 2012: iOS 6's Most Attractive Features

Apple is expected to launch its next generation iPhone and iPod Touch at a media event Wednesday. Along with new iPhone and iPod Touch, the company is also expected to roll out iOS 6. iOS 6 is a updated mobile OS that was first unveiled at Worldwide Developers Conference in June.

PC Magazine reported that the operating system will be a free download which will be compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (fourth generation), iPad 2, and new iPad (third generation).

While iOS 5 was packed in with iCloud, iMessage, Notification Center, wireless syncing. Some of the most attractive features of the new iOS are as reported by PC Magazine are:

Facebook Integration - This will be just like the Twitter integration in iOS 5, Facebook can be logged in from the settings menu. Now with Siri, Facebook updates can be made without touching the keyboard.

iCloud Tabs - iCloud Tabs might be an addition to Safari, where it will be possible to open the link to a web page in different iOS devices.

Maps - Apple are hoping to replace Google Maps by introducing its in-house 'Maps.' Though in terms of navigation, local search, traffic reports, they are the same, the difference is in the Maps offering realistic 3D models, and moreover Maps are Siri compatible making it lot easier to use.

Do Not Disturb Option - The new iOS 6 will be more flexible with the more options to chose from to handle incoming calls. In case you do not want to pick a call, you can "Reply with Message" or put it on a reminder. Another important addition will be, 'Do Not Disturb' option that will ensure you are not annoyed with calls.

Passbook - This will reduce the need for paper tickets, coupons, boarding passes or gift cards, as they can now be scanned though your phone.
