‘Star Wars Battlefront’ DLC Pack Latest News, Release Date & Update: New DLC Includes Death Star and Skirmish Mode

“Star Wars Battlefront” continues to be one of the better games to check out, made sweeter with EA’s release of new content. There is a new DLC pack set to be released son, meaning features and goodies are over the horizon.

New Skirmish Mode Offline game play

A new “Skirmish Mode” awaits “Star Wars Battlefront” gamers, a new mode that can reportedly be played even when offline. The announcement was made via the EA Star Wars blog.

This means that gamers can take on “Star Wars Battlefront” enemies by their lonesome or with a friend for some co-op game play. The new mode will reportedly work with ‘Walker Assault’ or ‘Fighter Squadron’ according to Comicbook.com.

The new mode does offer added game play measures to people who wanted more from the hefty $60 price tag and DICE may be making up for that through their expansions.

Death Star added

If co-op skirmishes are not something that appeals to players who want to venture into story mode, there is another big addition to look forward to. “Star Wars” is nothing without the iconic “Death Star” so that will be the new addition in the third expansion pack.

Known to most as the empire’s most dangerous and powerful weapon, it will be interesting what the “Death Star” would bring. Will players be tasked to embark on voyages to learn or destroy the powerful weapon?

Like other expansion packs, there are more to look forward to. That includes maps, weapons and star cards. Two new heroes will be made accessible though there is no official word on who the characters will be.

The “Skirmish mode” is set to be released on July 21 while the Death Star DLC has yet to get an official release date. Players will however get a chance to see the new DLC at the Star Wars Celebration Europe livestream.
