Mobius 'Final Fantasy' Smartphone RPG Release Date Confirmed: 3 Things We Expect

Square Enix announced that "Mobius Final Fantasy" will release for smartphone users in North America before the official launch of the upcoming Final Fantasy 15. Pre-registration bonuses are currently available.

"Mobius Final Fantasy" can be played by both iOS and Android mobile device users. Here are three things to expect in the upcoming Mobius Final Fantasy RPG title:

1. The storyline

Game Informer revealed that the Mobius Final Fantasy story focuses on a man named Wol, whowho wakes up in the world of Palamecia. He does not remember anything due to his amnesia. All he has at the moment is a sword and several clothes.

Shortly afterwards, the man realizes that he is uncovering a mysterious prophecy about a legendary warrior of light who was supposed to bring hope and salvation to all of Palamecia.

Although the Mobius Final Fantasy plot does not seem too different from other Japanese RPG titles, the game has become one of the most popular in Japan since the second half of 2015.

It has over one million active users in Japan and is backed by a development team with producer Yoshinori Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima of "Final Fantasy 7" at the helm of the project.

2. The crossover

GameRant stated that fans will also be delighted to discover that "Mobius Final Fantasy" will cross over with "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." Cloud will collaborate with the Mobius Final Fantasy main protagonist in one event in the game.

Considering how FF7 is among the best ever in the franchise, avid gamers will find it worthwhile to try "Mobius Final Fantasy" to see Cloud again at the very least.

The Mobius Final Fantasy title will showcase a number of gameplay elements from previous Final Fantasy titles like turn-based combat linked to a job system, levelling, exploration through standard navigation and fast-travel system, among others.

The presence of Final Fantasy franchise veterans is also expected to provide more depth and excitement to the Mobius Final Fantasy title.

3. Added incentives

GamePlanet wrote that the Mobius Final Fantasy mobile game will launch on iOS and Android devices beginning on Aug. 3, 2016.

Players can pre-register to acquire themed items from the Final Fantasy X RPG. Some of the bonuses to expect include a Yuna character card, Brotherhood, Tidus's signature weapon, and more. The pre-registration Mobius Final Fantasy bonuses will arrive for free.

Pre-registration for "Mobius Final Fantasy" is already available in Australia and New Zealand via the Mobius Website. More updates and details on the Mobius Final Fantasy mobile game are expected soon.
