Working iPad Mini Photos Leaked (See Them Here!)

Various rumors about the yet-to-be announced iPad Mini have been doing the rounds for months on the Internet. With the unveiling of the new iPhone 5 on Sept. 12, rumors about the smaller iPad tablet have gone a notch higher.

BoLoPad, a Chinese site, has leaked new images of the supposed iPad Mini which shows a 7.85-inch tablet, which you can see for yourself below.

The device pictured has an aluminum shell that is similar to the 9.7-inch iPad, but smaller. At the back of the casing, the photos show the Apple logo, iPad label and a camera slot.

At the bottom of the supposed iPad Mini are two speaker ports and a lightning connector features in the middle. Two volume buttons can be seen on the side. A lock button and headphone port is visible at the top. A black rim and home button can be seen at the front bottom.

Last week, the French blog Nowhereelse posted a series of eight images of the speculated iPad Mini.

Apple has not responded to or commented on any of the leaked photos or rumors. According to PC Magazine, Apple blog Macotakara reported that Apple was planning to name its new smaller 7.85-inch tablet "iPad Mini."

Though iPads are popular for their high-resolution Retina Display, the new iPad Mini may not include this technology. This is due to the fact that it might be priced at a lower rate to compete with Nexus 7 of Google and Kindle Fire of Amazon, prices for which start at $199. The iPad Mini may also have a similar price range. The iPad Mini might incorporate a cheaper screen to remain in this price bracket, PC Magazine said.

Various rumors have indicated October as the launch period for the iPad Mini.
