Square Enix and Disney have done something completely strange and amazing with "Kingdom Hearts" and it looks like things are going to get even weirder.

There are speculations that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will introduce the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe AND Star Wars. But are the two worlds being brought to the title to make up for the recent "Disney Infinity" cancellation?

"Kingdom Hearts 3" To Add MCU And Star Wars Worlds Because Why Not, Disney?

There are several sources stating that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will add two more worlds to the game series' already impressive roster. Not surprisingly, the worlds will be MCU and Star Wars because they both belong to Disney. In addition to that, they would both be another quirky addition to the Square Enix title.

Sure, it makes perfect sense. But does the decision to bring these new franchises to "Kingdom Hearts 3" have anything to do with the cancellation of "Disney Infinity"?

"Disney Infinity" Cancellation Leads To MCU And Star Wars Being Introduced In "Kingdom Hearts 3"?

Disney had previously announced the cancellation of "Disney Infinity". The series will no longer be pursued despite the star power provided by everything owned by Disney (via Kotaku). The final releases for the game were based on "Alice Through The Looking-Glass" and "Finding Dory" last June.

The cancellation had a devastating effect on fans. There are speculations that Disney has decided to bring MCU and Star Wars to "Kingdom Hearts 3" in an effort to make up for the loss.

Square Enix has yet to confirm whether Marvel and Star Wars will be introduced in "Kingdom Hearts 3" so it is best to take the information with a grain of salt. Fans believe that new details as well as the title's release date will be announced during the "Kingdom Hearts" concert tour (via Game Rant).
