A spate of Marvel Universe movies like "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Iron Man 3," "Thor: The Dark World" and a likely "Ant-Man" are already in the works.
Will "Hulk 3" be added to the list?
According to president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige, this will not be a reality until "Avengers 2" releases in 2015.
In "The Avengers," the character of Bruce Banner, played by actor Mark Ruffalo, was a definite crowd pleaser. And since each character in the movie is getting a solo project, why not the Hulk?
Well this would be the third installment of a franchise that didn't do particulary well in the movies. Eric Bana played the first Hulk and Edward Norton the second.
"I don't think there's a lot that we couldn't do someday," Fergie told MTV. "As the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe."
Fergie believes writer Greg Pak's "Planet Hulk" and "World War Hulk" are "cool." But any space plot for the Hulk has its own concerns.
"I think there's pitfalls of continuity-overload, and mythology getting so dense that it almost collapses in on itself," he said. "It happens every few decades or so in the comics. Apart from that, I'd say everything is on the table.
"Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in 'Avengers'? I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until 'Avengers 2.' So there's a lot of time to think about it."
Like many movie-goers, Fergie was a fan of Ruffalo's portrayal of the big green man in "The Avengers."
"Part of what's fun about the way we played him in 'Avengers' is the ensemble quality of it. I think the pathos and humor, most importantly, that Mark and Joss brought to it showcased a different element of Hulk that's there in the comics, and was always inherent in his character," he said. "But when he was so brooding in his other two films, he didn't get to have that wry sense of humor that Mark did such an amazing job performing."
Screen Rant said Hulk might not have a cameo role in "Iron Man 3." So the earliest solo film of the Hulk is only after 2015. This will be a long wait for all Hulk fans.
