'Pokemon Sun & Moon' Release Date, News & Update: New Battle Format & 10 New Cool Pokemons?

As Nintendo celebrates the 20th year since the release of "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Green" in Japan, the next era of Pokemon Games is going to be announced soon! The "Pokemon Sun & Moon" are coming out for the systems in Nintendo 3DS family in Holiday 2016.

'Pokemon Sun and Moon' release date & features

Nintendo has confirmed the seventh generation in the series: "Pokemon Sun & Moon." It will be released on Nov. 18, 2016 as a 3DS exclusive. This game will follow the popular Pokémon X and Y which launched on the 3DS back in 2013, so it's the exact moment we got a new title.

GameRant reports a new generation of Pokemons will soon be featured in the "Pokemon Sun & Moon" game. Reports have it that the upcoming games will be taking place in a brand-new tropical region.

Probably, Nintendo will adapt the same strategy as they did with Pokemon X and Y. Fans are hopeful that "Pokemon Sun & Moon" will be bringing back old time favorites from the older generations in order to make the game appeal to fans of the original titles.

Pokemon series director Junichi Masuda was asked about how many new Pokemon would be present in "Pokemon Sun & Moon" games. The director jokingly answered that there will be more than 10.

When Niantic launches the "Pokemon Sun & Moon" games, it will be available globally in nine languages. Nintendo hopes that Pokemon Players will be able to conquer language barriers and be able to communicate well with other players all around the world.

Pokemon.com says "Pokemon Sun & Moon" will be featuring the pokemons that were made available in its predecessors like "Pokemon X," Pokemon Y," "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire" and "Pokemon Omega Ruby." It has been revealed that players could even transfer their pokemons from the previous games to the "Pokemon Sun & Moon" games with the use of the Pokemon Bank.

Moreover, a new battle format called Battle Royal was announced for "Pokemon Sun & Moon" where up to four trainers can battle at the same time. Each trainer will be given a chance to choose three Pokémons but only one can enter the battle-field.
