Nintendo Reveals 3 DLC Packs of New Super Mario Bros. 2, Eyes Release on Oct. 2

Kyoto, Japan-based Nintendo is gearing up to enter a new territory, Downloadable Content or DLC. Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. 2 is getting more content to cater to DLC fans.

This is Nintendo's first of the three DLC packs for the game.

Gaming site Slash Gear warns users must be fans of Mario's Coin Rush mode. All the three DLC packs will make Luigi and Mario make a dash for gold coins.

The first DLC, "Gold Mario Go! Go! Pack" is the easiest and has three new Coin Rush levels. Users have to really work hard as they have to collect coins totaling 30,000.

The second DLC is "Challenge the Record A Pack." Nintendo will be experimenting with leader boards, offering to post user's top scores on the Nintendo website. There are three time-bound levels in this pack.

The third DLC pack is "Survival Panic Back," which also has three levels. This will be the most difficult of the three DLC packs Nintendo is offering its fans.

The Japanese gaming company has not revealed the dates for the release of the DLC for any country other than Japan. DLC packs will hit Japan Oct. 2 costing 200 yen or $2.50, Nintendo's Chief Satoru Iwata revealed in a press event last month.

The Coin Rush mode lets two players play the game of gathering as many coins as possible.

In the New Super Mario Bros. 2, brothers Mario and Luigi go on a coin hunt adventure while their beloved Princess Peach is kidnapped by Koopalings.

The Mario brothers have to rescue her taking all the coins they can across land, air, water and snow, the Nintendo website said. This game was released for Nintendo 3DS platform in July.
