iPhone 7 Release Date, News & Update: Pre-Orders Start September 9? More Specs & Features Revealed

The coming of the iPhone 7 is imminently here and on cue come the rumors tied up to Apple’s next flagship. One interesting rumor is, of course, the launch date which has remained vague for now.

One good point of reference on when the iPhone 7 will be unveiled is to find out when pre-orders will commence. As always, the first and perhaps most credible information tied up to that could be from Evan Blass.

Coming on a Friday

The reliable leakster tweets that iPhone 7 pre-orders will kick off on Sept. 9 which may hint at the device’s launch would come no later than Sept. 16. The basis for this is that Apple usually follows the same practice as far as seeing iPhone sales go live per BGR.

It was ironically Blass as well who spilled the launch date happening on Sept. 16, a Friday. Despite his credibility, it remains to be seen if Apple will follow his forecast.

Day or Reckoning

With the launch date revealed, expect the grapevine to revert to what the iPhone 7 will have to offer. Everyone knows by now that the Apple flagship will carry minimal changes as the Cupertino company saves the best for the redesigned iPhone 8.

Among the notable changes include the removal of the 3.5 mm jack, mute button, and a dual-lens camera. The physical home button will no longer be around, a move tied up to improving the flagship’s waterproofing problems.

Inside, the iPhone 7 is expected to ramp up the processor chips and start with a larger storage base starting at 32 GB. A lot of the speculated features were covered in a previous post which you can read here.

Another previous report also touched on how many iPhone 7 models will be coming. Blass was once again behind the reveal, revealing the codenames as “Sonora” and “Dos Palos”.
