The world was recently introduced to Mimikkyu, an adorable little character who wears a Pikachu costume in "Pokémon Sun and Moon". But will fans get to learn more about the Pokémon in the Nintendo games big reveal on August 1?

Mimikkyu was first seen in the Coro Coro magazine, where the Pokémon was featured alongside a new "Pokémon Sun and Moon" character Kiteruguma. Pikachu Copycat Mimikkyu To Be Major Part Of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" Reveal?

Not much is known about Mimikkyu other than the character being introduced in "Pokémon Sun and Moon". It has already been established that it is a Ghost/Fairy Pokémon that is weakened by sunlight. Some believe that the Pikachu disguise also acts as a veil against the sun.

However, Mimikkyu's covering has other purposes in "Pokémon Sun and Moon". In addition to pretending to be Pikachu to be loved, the Pokémon uses the veil to protect people from seeing its true form. There is a belief that seeing Mimikkyu's true appearance will cause a strange illness.

Mimikkyu is not yet included in the Pokédex. Its catch rate, base experience yield and leveling rate are also unknown. Fans are hoping that the "Pokémon Sun and Moon" reveal on Monday will reveal more about the adorable yet mysterious little Pokémon.
