Japanese technology giant Sony launched its PlayStation Mobile Store on Wednesday.
The new service is a marketplace for PS Vita, tablets and Android-based smartphones. This service will be available on Sony's Xperia smartphones, HTC's One S, V and X. It will also be available on Wikipad, which will be launched by the month-end.
The services are currently available in the U.S., the UK, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Japan. Once users buy a game in PlayStation Mobile, they can play it on any compatible device.
Here's the current list of games being offered; it will gradually increase over time:
*Aqua Kitty
*Beats Slider
* Beats Trellis
*Cubixx
* Flick Hockey
* FuelTiracas
* Hungry Giraffe
* Loot the Land
* OMG Zombies
*Rebel
* Samurai Beatdown
* Super Create Box
* Tractor Trails
* Twist Pilot
* Underline
* Wordblocked.
Users of the Android device will be using a virtual DUALSHOCK while Xperia users can use Vita.
The Store will also provide a platform for game developers who can pay $99 annually to launch their games in the marketplace. It will also help publishers introduce new mobile gaming content for smartphones.
Sony announced that Fujitsu and Sharp are certified vendors for their brand. Users can start installing the new PlayStation Mobile on their Android-based smartphones.
Hopefully, this feature will soon be supported in several other countries as well.
