‘Pokemon GO’ Latest News & Update: Niantic Vows To Improve 'Nearby Feature'

Niantic has a tough road ahead as it tries to appease “Pokemon GO” players who are now forced to play the game the right way.

The company recently shut out aid from third party apps like “Pokevision” as it tries to employ the right manner of hunting down Pokemon characters. A patch did the trick but the recourse apparently brought consequences such as botching the "nearby feature."

Niantic is working on the issue right now and vows that the "nearby feature" will return. This will likely come in the form of another patch and the company is involving the “Pokemon GO” addicts to the fray.

Addressing exploit then improving “Pokemon GO”

With “Pokevision” shut out, fans went delirious since it meant needing to exert more effort pinning down the elusive Pokemons which spawn at random. But like it or not, this was the original intent of Niantic that made the game addictive.

Apparently Niantic is not yet done with the improvements to “Pokemon GO” and all that comes in the form of patches. One thing worth looking forward to is that this means new features are on the horizon.

But before all that, the immediate concern is stabilizing current features starting with the ‘footsteps’ that inform “Pokemon GO” players of nearby characters. Most may not like the recent patch but the thing is that Niantic will not tolerate cheaters.

Beware of the Terms of Service

With “Pokemon GO” relatively in its infancy stages, players may want to consider the terms of service of the game. There is that indication of bans if players are found to be guilty of cheating or using exploits though the company has yet to crack the whip.

The story is expected to change once Niantic is able to address the technical issues tied up to the game. With that in mind, “Pokemon GO” players who resort to dirty GPS spoofing tactics may want to start acclimatizing themselves as far as playing the game the fair way.
