iPad Mini 5 Release Date, News & Update: Tablet Thinner than iPad Mini 4, To Have ‘Bendgate’? More Specs & Features Revealed

Several rumors is claiming that Apple is set to reveal new devices this coming September. Apple has kept mum amid countless of iPad Mini 5 rumors, speculations and video leaks that have been spreading on the internet.

According to Ecumenical News, the iPad Mini 5 can go slimmer than its predecessor iPad Mini 4 that is once thought the thinnest tablet. Compared to the 6.1 millimeters thickness of the iPad Mini 4, rumors said that the next iPad Mini can go as thin as 5 millimeters. Also, it will be reinforced with a type 7000 aluminium body that is called "bendgate," which also happened in iPhone 6.

A report in Neuro Gadget states that the iPad Mini 5 will have an A9 processor but the device is expected to sport a much weaker battery compared to iPad Mini 4, which has a 5124 mAh battery. However, it will not affect the battery life because the A9 processor will consume less power than the A8 processor that is in iPad Mini 4.

The iPad Mini 5 is also said to have a 3D touch screen support feature that is also in iPhone 7. When it comes to storage, the iPad Mini 5 is expected to release three internal storage variants.

First is the iPad Mini 5 with 32GB of internal storage and much likely will cost $450. Second is the iPad Mini 5 with a 64GB internal storage and likely to cost $500. The third is the iPad Mini 5 that has a 128GB and that will cost $600.

As we have told you above that the release date might be in September, this report is not yet confirmed. Apple hasn't officially announced anything about the exact release date of the iPad Mini 5 as of yet. But, as soon as we find out we will let you know!
