Look out "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" fans—the wildly popular Zombies spinoff scenario is finally going to end in the latest DLC for the game, and we'll finally know what the undead invasion is all about.

According to Express, the Zombies mode in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will apparently wrap up and tie together loose ends from "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2," according to "Black Ops" developer Treyarch Senior Executive Producer Jason Blundell in an interview with GameSpot.

Blundell said that the storyline in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will pick up where the ending of the Zombies mode in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" left off. The scene saw Samantha and another boy, Edward, in a house together, playing with zombie toys, wishing that they wish their heroes "were real." The ending scene put people in quite the frenzy as they wondered what exactly that conversation meant—and Blundell vows to finally reveal what it's really all about. This should be fun.

Judging from the content and the context of that little interaction, it seems as though the Zombies mode in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will touch upon some existential questions, possibly revealing that the entire Zombies mode that began in "Call of Duty: World At War" was just the figment of the playful imaginations of some main characters. If that would be the case, then it kind of starts to take Zombies mode a little too seriously, as it should just be a fun side scenario for anyone who just wants to kill zombies.

The aforementioned DLC for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" does not have a specific release date yet, but it's likely to drop sometime around next month, while the new "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will be dropping in November later this year.
