If you're playing "Pokemon GO" for the past month then for sure you already know the trick on how to evolve Eevee into either a Jolteon, Flareon or a Vaporeon. However, "Pokemon GO's" July 29 update made some major changes into the game but nothing seems to be more affected than Eevee's evolution.
We will discuss what are the changes that Niantic Labs has made to one of "Pokemon GO's" favorite Pokemons. Also we will discuss what Eevee evolution you should pick and its importance.
"Pokemon GO" Eeveelution Guide
In regards to evolving Eevee, Niantic Labs have balanced out the way "Pokemon GO" trainers have the freedom to evolve Eevee into the second evolution of its choosing. That means if it is your first time to evolve and Eevee, the old trick of either renaming the Pokemon Rainer, Pyro and Sparky will still work.
On the new update, every Eevee evolution after that will be completely random. No matter if you rename Eevee to Rainer, Pyro and Sparky, It is said a way of Niantic Labs to balance "Pokemon GO" as almost everyone is turning their Eevee into a Vaporeon.
Vaporeon is considered as one of the most powerful Pokemons in "Pokemon GO" and considering how easy or common Eevee is everywhere, Niantic has to do something about it. In almost every PokeGym, there is a Vaporeon and the creators of "Pokemon GO" didn't stop there.
"Pokemon GO" Nerfs Vaporeon
Considered by many as the strongest but easiest Pokemon to obtain in "Pokemon GO" is Vaporeon. However, it got nerfed by Niantic Labs in "Pokemon GO's" July 29 update.
It's "Water Gun" attack's power decreased by 40% and also its "Aqua Tail" attack got a 10% decline. The only good news for "Pokemon GO" trainers who has a Vaporeon is if it has "Hydro Pump," as it got a 50% increase on its damage.
