Minecraft for Xbox 360 Edition Gets Update

Markus "Notch" Persson's Minecraft released Monday 1.8.2 update for Xbox 360.

The Verge reported that the popular and highly-acclaimed game, Minecraft, after the new update, will have advanced features like Creative Mode, NPC villages, new combat mechanics, and new hunger mechanics.

Previously, players had to eat food to restore their health, but the hunger mechanics has now changed, with players eating food to fill their Food Bar, which will eventually drain with increased player's activity.

The update will introduce mobs, (Endermen, cave spiders, silverfish) food items, (apples, raw chicken, cooked chicken, raw beef, steak, melons, rotten flesh), and new items like cobwebs, glass panes, stone bricks, vines, biomes, pumpkin seeds, and more.

The update was revealed by 4J Studios (@4JStudios) on Twitter.

"The 1.8.2 update will start rolling out at 2am PDT (10am in the UK) on 16th October. It can take a few hours to be available everywhere," the tweet said.

4J Studios also said that Minecraft for Xbox 360 will have themed skins from classic first-person shooter game Half-Life and multiplayer online battle game Awesomenauts. It was announced over the weekend.

Half life skins will feature Half-Life human with a crab on his head, the G-Man, a scientist, a guard, Alyx Vance, Dr. Eli Vance, and Gordon Freeman.

Awesomenauts skins will feature Clink, Sheriff Lonestar and Yuri the Monkey.

Minecraft is a video game developed by Mojang and launched in 2011. It is a builder game where players have to build construction from the 3D cubes. The game has been received well by the critics for the creative freedom it allows.
