'Pokemon Go' Cheats, Tips & Tricks: Now You Can Play The Game On Windows Using This App

A new app player has made it possible to play "Pokemon Go" on Windows. Dubbed BlueStacks, the app can emulate an Android smartphone on PC and allow trainers to move about via their desktop. Other mobile games can also be played on a desktop PC using BlueStacks.

The main advantage of BlueStacks for "Pokemon Go" trainers is that they no longer have to get out of their house to capture Pokemon, go to PokeStops and battle at Pokemon Gyms. The app is basically violating the terms of service of Niantic.

This is why there is a large risk that some players may find their "Pokemon Go" account getting blocked temporarily or permanently in the near future, as soon as the game company spots BlueStacks. "Pokemon Go" players are advised to create a new account, separate from their current mobile profile, and to avoid buying anything while playing, just in case Niantic blocks the desktop account.

TechRadar wrote that "Pokemon Go" players should initially download and install BlueStacks. They will receive a prompt to provide the app access to the Google Play Store, which players should do. BlueStacks has a tool that will spoof the player's location via Google Maps. Click the location icon found on the left-hand menu. Look for a postcode and double-click to mark a certain point on the map. Next, click the Play button on the bottom right and then the Android tab at the top. BlueStacks will take some time to load for "Pokemon Go."

Once the loading phase is done, "Pokemon Go" players can log in or create a new account. After filling in the necessary data, they can start playing. Navigate by using the WASD keys and run by holding the Shift key while moving. Clicking the mouse is equivalent to tapping the screen. "Pokemon Go" players are also advised to turn off the camera since they are not exploring outdoors. This will prevent the app from freezing.

BlueStacks is a great app that allows "Pokemon Go" fans to play inside the comfort of their home. However, Niantic is expected to block accounts soon, so players should simply wait and see how far they can get in the desktop version. More updates and details on "Pokemon Go" are expected soon.
