Rockstar Games announced on Wednesday the release of a new DLC Hostage Negotiation Pack for Max Payne 3 Multiplayer irrespective of platforms, for Oct. 30.
The game will be free for Rockstar Pass holders, while others will have to shell out $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points.
The new DLC will include four new multiplayer maps: Club Moderno, Estádio Do Galatians, O Palácio Strip Club and Favela Heights. The DLC has been designed to support online gameplay. It will also have new items like Explosive Burst for explosive booby traps, Bomb Suit for protection and Intimidation Mask that causes slower reload time for the enemies. Weapons include M24 Sniper Rifle and the IA2 Assault Rifle. The game will also get a new avatar faction.
Rockstar Games' blog revealed images of arm bandages and tattoos as accessories for Filhos De Ogum avatar and customized Helmets will reduce head damages by 75 percent. The publisher said that more details on the DLC will be revealed as the game releases.
The Club Moderno and Estádio Do Galatians maps will dish out "intense nightclub and stadium shootouts reminiscent of Max's earlier dust-ups with some of São Paulo's most dangerous elements like the Comando Sombra and the Crachá Preto" while the O Palácio Strip Club and Favela Heights maps introduce new favela territories from Max's "descent into the gang-infested neighborhoods of the city," IGN reported, Oct. 2.
